2001 National N10 Midget Championship Regatta at the Medford Boat Club

On August 6th and 7th, 2001, the Medford Boat Club sponsored the Annual National N10 Midget Championship Regatta on the Mystic Lake.  The regatta is held yearly for sailors under age 14 racing in N10 class boats.  41 boats and 81 crew members from several Greater Boston boat and yacht clubs were represented, including the Medford Boat Club, Winchester Boat Club, Cottage Part Yacht Club, Winthrop Yacht Club and the Hull Yacht club. 

The regatta consisted of four races on Monday and two on Tuesday.  Each crew's best five finishes were used toward their final score.  The top five finishers were:

1. Elyse Traverse and Julia Yankakopulos (Medford Boat Club)

2. Rian McCormack and Adam Martin (Medford Boat Club)

3. Paul Koeniger and Nick Koeniger (Winchester Boat Club)

4. Philip DiSciullo and Alana Woods (Medford Boat Club)

5. Ben Moran and Sam Campbell (Winchester Boat Club)

Skipper Robert Norris and Ralph Duplin from the Winthrop Yacht Club won the trophy for the first under twelve year old finisher.  Photographs with captions of the event are provided below.
